ON elevator glam

cleaning out my computer and just found a few especially excellent gems..
i used to tell noah (the white fluffy fellow you see above) that we were playing models.
he didn't love the elevator and would pace or try and climb in my arms so i distracted him.
also, i am a big nerd and very silly so i enjoyed it more than he did :)

i sure do miss that pup. and summer! hurry back, sundress weather. xo

On Moments in Central Park

we strolled together, the pup and i, winding up and around the curves of the park.
he barked at the man playing saxophone, shocked that something dared to be louder than he.
we found ourselves in front of the strange, tiny house-like structure where we'd never been,
watched the women try to figure out where the bathroom was and saw that it was a gift shop.
we ended up in front of the ice skating rink and I thought of 'Serendipity'.
he was done for at this point. laying down in a shady spot, looking up at me, ready to go home.
that's the funny thing about that pup. he runs and races and takes the day by storm.
he needs to see everything, try everything, go, go, go. but then, he crashes, exhausted.
leaving me to carry him home, rocking him in my arms, singing to him, a smile on his face.

i don't get to see this pup anymore. an unfortunate and abrupt decision took him out of my life.
i miss seeing him and going on our walks, but am so grateful for the time we spent together,
and will always think of the way that it took a fluffy white dog to finally show me central park
in all it's glory, and the beautiful moments that live there.

On Noah's Tour of NYC

hello! NoahDog here!
i hear some of you aren't from my city of new bark -- sorry, new york!
so i thought i'd give you a little tour & advice for visiting..
be friendly on the streets! don't by shy, say hello.
if you get tired, i suggest finding a nice brick wall to lean against for a moment.
make sure to take your human to lincoln center.
humans just LOVE visiting lincoln center.
but don't get fooled by the big, full of water thingy..
it is not actually a giant water bowl for doggies.
i am practicing remembering this..
(i guess i can see why humans love this place)
when on an outing, it is best to find out the color scheme ahead of time
and then do your best to match it! fashion first, people.
now.. which way were we going.. was it this way?
no, wait.. it might have been this way..
make sure you take some time out for shopping.
oh, i do love a good mall.
also, make sure to position yourself in the middle of the floor.
this is best for photo ops. choose your pose carefully and smile.
this is also excellent placement to greet the people. people love to be greeted.
as every hard working new yorker knows, you must balance work and play.
take time out to answer those pesky emails and phone calls.
it's tough to be an in-demand doggie.

and please remember to get your rest.
with so much to do in one city, it can get exhausting!

speaking of, it's time for me to nap.
i hope you enjoyed my post on my city!
woof!

On a (mini) Photo Shoot with Twin

the other day, my twin* & i did an impromptu little iphone photo shoot.
mainly because we are silly. but these picture turned out great so i had to share:

noah pup was having the time of his life.
he is a very photogenic puppy, loves to work the camera
he even cracks himself up from time to time.

and you know me.. i couldn't help but hop into the shot once.. or twice..

(*okay so she is not technically my biological twin..BUT we met playing sisters
AND we have the same birthday AND a strange amount of things about us are super similar.
so..we decided it must be so, we are twins! although we used to look way more alike.. crazy. xo)

On A (Numerical) Day In The Life

A Day In The Life (By Numbers):

Today..
was a solid TEN,
I took the train NINE times,
shared group meditation with EIGHT beautiful souls,
spent SEVEN dollars on lunch,
did the voice of a SEVEN year old raccoon (swear)
worked for SIX hours,
called my mom FIVE times,
ran into FIVE fabulous friends,
was in FOUR different neighborhoods,
and had FOUR outfit changes,
had THREE celebrity sightings (hello, Chuck Bass),
and more importantly, THREE kick-ass auditions,
where I sang for TWO of them,
and curled my hair TWO times,
walked ONE adorable Noah Dog,
and am ONE really happy, completely exhausted girl.
:)

On Skylines and Puppies

This past weekend, I had myself a little impromptu staycation of sorts.
High above central park, all of a sudden I understood why everyone wants to live here.
The best part of all? It was beautifully, deliciously, intensely.. quiet.
That's right: QUIET. In the middle of Manhattan. That, my friends, is the very definition of luxury.

Nicole (pictured above) came to visit & Noah (The Fluff) was an excellent host.
The weekend was filled with lots of talking, playing, lounging & Loving.
It's true that peace should always live in your heart..
but the next best option may very well be this apartment :)

(& yes: that is the orange dress I can't stop wearing. see? i really can't stop!)
