On A Wedding In Ithaca

On a beautiful day in September, Kaitlin and Larry became husband and wife.
This wedding was stunning; Ithaca provided an unreal background.
Kaitlin and I (and the other girls pictured) played sisters on tour.
And then something magickal happened and we became just like real sisters.
I was so honored and happy to be a part of this celebration of Love.
From the massive old home (turned inn) to the homemade jam to the bonfire the night before,
everything was perfectly wonderful and exactly right for their wedding.

Love you K & L!

p.s. thanks J for the stolen photos at the bottom of this post ;) xo

On A Wedding In New Jersey

On a fall day, in the middle of New Jersey, Kristen and Jeff became Mr. & Mrs.

And my iphone and I were there to capture it all for your viewing pleasure :)
After a beautiful ceremony, I zipped home to change into my sister's dress, grab my sister's bag (which I am slightly obsessed with), and slid on one of my momma's rings for good measure.
This is what I call Artist Style. Because the Artist can't currently afford her own Style ;)

We celebrated all night and I will tell you what, I have never seen a couple have such a good time at their own wedding, nor have I ever seen a Bride dance the whole night, pure joy.
Here's to the Newlyweds and their bright, beautiful future.

On A Shower For Kristen

This weekend, Kristen will become a Mrs. !
A few weeks ago, we celebrated at her bridal shower:

she was the first bride i've ever seen who was actually surprised!
it was such a sweet thing to see her reaction and to greet each guest.
the thing about kristen is that she has a heart of gold. she's one of the most kindhearted, gentle, welcoming people i know. and her future husband is just as charming (even a good sport, as you can see in the photo above, he played along willingly). i'm excited to see them join their lives together.

also, can you believe how great she looks for being surprised?
(she's the one in the flowered dress)
and.. yes, that IS a string of panties you spotted. those girls don't mess around :)
Happy Almost Wedding, Kristen!

On a Wedding in the Country

last weekend, in a beautiful old church,
on a stunning country club, in a multi-state (ny AND ma) event
we celebrated the marriage of andrea & jake

andrea & i are sorority sisters from the same pledge class.
we lived on the same floor of the same building for the majority of college
and she taught me about classic old audrey hepburn films
and had a sophistication about her that makes me wonder how we became fast friends.

i remember the early stages of jake, the first few dates and the stories after.
at her bachelorette party, it was reveled that he knew when he would marry her:
after the very first date
that, dear darlings, is what we call true Love.

my favorite picture of the night is the one of them driving the golf cart.
it was an impromptu moment where i flipped my camera up at the last second,
blurring everything except the two of them, who are calmly, side by side, wildly in love.
in fact, i think it looks like it could be andrea's very own audrey hepburn-esque film
where the ending is very, very happy :)

congratulations!
